Crab Feast

Last weekend I went to a crab feast at Chihiro's place with her family, aunt and uncle and grandma. They had ordered a large box of crabs from Hokkaido over the internet! They were absolutely huge, and there were several different types, all packed with juicy flavour. We ate as much as we could, though there was still a lot left over!

Oh! That looks so good!

I was tempted to shell out the cash to go to Huogo Prefecture for the amazing crabs and onsen there but it was all a bit much.... especially when Rhys doesn't eat crab!

Is that Nabe on the table I see? Could you ask if Chihiro knows how to make Nabe, please? I wouldn't mind trying it...

Hi Cat, it was scrumptious.. Rhys is missing out :P Yep, it's nabe on the table. I think it's pretty simple to make.. kind of like a clear stew with Japanese ingredients. I'll ask Chihiro if she has any tips! I bought a great book you might like actually: "Recipes of Japanese Cooking" by Yuko Fujita, in Japanese and English (it was in the learning English section).
